Google’s Nexus One was announced by Google in 2010 and soon was introduced into the market. Marketed as being the first phone by Google, the phone has a number of features that set it apart from other phones in the market.

The phone has 3.7 inches screen with 480×800 pixels, same to that of HTC Desire. It also has multitouch input, accelerometer, proximity sensor however unlike the Desire it has a trackball. While the Desire has an optical trackpad.

The phone is equipped with 512MB RAM and 512MB ROM with memory expansion option through microSD.

The phone also has HSDPA, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g and Bluetooth v2.1 for fast data transfer and internet browsing.

The phone also comes with a 5 Megapixel camera which means that you would not need to carry an additional camera anymore, just your phone. The camera can also be used to record high quality videos.

The Nexus One has a powerful 1Ghz processor and also has A GPS Support. The phone has active noise cancellation means you can expect better quality on phone calls.

HTC Wildfire Specs

HTC Wildfire was introduced by HTC into the market after being successful with its previous android phones such as the HTC Desire, HTC Legend and HTC Hero. HTC Wildfire was released into the market in May 2010.

The Wildfire is a bit lighter at 118 gm compared to HTC Legend, HTC Desire and HTC Hero. The phone has a 3.2 inches TFT Capacitive touchscreen with 16 M Colors and have 240×320 resolution.

Like other android phones in the market, this one also has multi touch support, accelerometer, touch sensitive controls, proximity sensor, optical trackpad, and htc sense user interface.

The phone has 384 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM with the option to expand using a memory stick (microSD).

The phone has HSDPA, WiFi and Bluetooth so that you can have fast data transfer and browse the internet. You can check your emails, download files and media without any problem on the phone.

The phone has a 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus and flash. It can also record videos in case you want.

The phone features a 528 Mhz processor, Stereo FM, A-GPS support. The phone is available in a variety of colors.

HTC Legend Specs

Even though both phones (HTC Desire and HTC Legend) had been introduced during the same period, HTC Legend is said to be a predecessor of HTC Desire. The phone was announced in February 2010 and introduced in the market in the month of March in the same year. The phone weighs 126g.

The phone has AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16 Million colors. An advantage of the AMOLED screen is that it consumes less battery power compared to traditional LED screens however you might have a problem working on AMOLED touchscreens in sunlight.

The screen resolution is 320×480 pixels with a screen size of 3.2 inches. The phone supports multi touch, accelerometer and also features optical trackpad. The legend also features the HTC Sense UI.

HTC Legend has 384 Megabytes of RAM and 512MB ROM. The memory can also be expanded using the card slot provided upto 32 GB.

The phone has HSDPA, HSUPA and Wi-Fi capabilities meaning you can access internet at blazing fast speeds wherever you are on your phone. It also has Bluetooth just in case.

The phone has a 5 Megapixel camera with flash. You can also use the camera to record video.

The phone has a 600Mhz processor, FM radio, and A-GPS support. Installed on this phone is Google’s Android Operating System which comes with some default applications that you will definitely find useful.

HTC Desire Specs

The HTC Desire has set out to become one of the top selling phones by HTC based on the Google Android Operating System for mobiles. The Desire was introduced in the market in February 2010 to compete in the touch-screen and high end mobile market.

HTC Desire is a 135 gm phone with AMOLED Capacitive Touchscreen (16 Million colors). An advantage of the AMOLED Touchscreen is that it is more efficient than the traditional LED based screens.

The screen resolution is 480×800 pixels on a 3.7 inch which is one of the best screens available in the market. The phone has multi touch input method, accelerometer sensor, proximity sensor, optical trackad, and htc sense user interface.

The phone has 576MB RAM, 512MB ROM and the memory can be extended using the microSD card slot (upto 32GB) which is more than enough for all of your daily needs.

HTC Desire has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, bluetooth and 3G data capabilities to stream high quality videos and other multimedia stuff. Other than the phone has GPS, A 5 MegaPixel camera with autofocus and flash. The phone does not have secondary video which is needed in case of making video calls.

Other than that the phone has 1Ghz Processor which is powerful enough compared to many other phones out there.

The phone has the Android Operating System Eclair. HTC Desire is the successor of HTC Wildfire.
